Definition

My Learning is a mobile application available on iOS 10 and up and on Android 4.4 and up.
More information on My Learning prerequisites is provided in our integration website.


My Learning gives you a direct access to digital learning and provides a continuous access to Blendedˣ training courses and mobile Learning Channels. For more information on how to configure mobile Learning Channels, view Creating a Learning Channel#Mobile customization. Thanks to this application, you will have everything you need right on your mobile device.

Available languages within the application

My Learning App is available in languages supported within CrossKnowledge Learning Suite.

The learner is logged in using the device language (if available) or using one of the learner preferred language set within the CrossKnowledge Learning Suite.

Mobile availability

At training course level, an option allows to make the course available on the mobile website and My Learning.

NOTE: The first time that a learner opens (on a mobile device) a non mobile course set to be available on the mobile website and My Learning, he sees a pop-up requesting if he really wants to go to this page (knowing that the page display is not optimized for mobile devices). Non mobile courses are identified with a little icon on the top left corner of the course thumbnail: Non mobile icon.png

App customization

Home page title, organization name, send notifications

You can set My Learning home page title and mobile website's home page title.
The organization name used by learners for a simple authentication on My Learning is speficied here, it is predefined.
To facilitate the learners login, the organization name is displayed in the page Management of applications > My Learning How to do it? that the learner reaches from the profile menu.

When Enable the sending of push notifications to the application users is active, push notifications are sent to the learner if the 2 following conditions are fulfilled:
  • The learner has not logged on the platform (via desktop, mobile, or My Learning app) for 7 days.
  • The learner has some incomplete Blendedx courses.

Main color

The main color is set in:

  • Setup workspace

  • Deployment > Manage styles > Manage Learner's styles (select entity > Modify) > Style customization.
  • Colour on mobile and responsive page parameter.
    See screenshot in Style customization.

The style main color applies to each entity.

Splash screen

Introduce your own logo and a personalized welcome text via a splash screen displayed right after the learner's login and on the application launch (once the learner logged in).

The splash screen is defined for the entity, and it is configured in: Entity > Customization > Set the splash screen for this entity.

App download and login

The procedure to install My Learning App described in the following topics is specific for Android or iOS.

Downloadable user guide on My Learning installation.
Please note that the document is subject to frequent updates, an uploaded version can become quickly obsolete.


Main grey.png App login: Once logged in the app, the user remains logged and identified (no inactivity timeout). To log out, the user needs to select log out from the parameters menu. 

Direct link in emails to open My Learning

A link to My Learning app can now be inserted in emails sent to learners.

The link is inserted using a keyword in the email: My Learning auto-connection link.

Behavior on learner side:

  • If My Learning ≥ 2.5 is already installed on the mobile device, it logs in the learner on My Learning.
  • If My Learning is not installed on the mobile device, it redirects the learner to the store download page.
    Proceed as follows:
    1. Tap the link to download and install My Learning.
    2. When installed, tap the link again to benefit from the single sign-on login.

Android

Download the App through the Play Store
Once the App is installed, the learner can activate his profile using one of the 3 following methods:
  • Organization name: Enter your organization name and use your company credentials.
  • QR Code: On the mobile, scan the QR code displayed on the desktop in the learner interface.
  • Activation code: On the desktop, enter the activation code displayed on the mobile.

Activation using the organization name

Follow these steps on the mobile:
  1. Enter your organization name.
    The organization name is unique. The entry is not case sensitive.
    The organization name is defined by the administrator (see #App customization) and it is indicated in the learner profile page Management of applications > My Learning.
  2. Tap Go.
  3. Use your company credentials, other credentials available on the login page, or login and password.

Activation using the activation code

Follow these steps on the mobile and desktop:
  1. Mobile: Select Use activation code.
    → An activation code is displayed. This code needs to be entered in the learner interface, on the desktop.
  2. Desktop:
    • In the learner interface, click on the learner picture (top right corner) and follow the link Management of applications.
    • In the ACTIVATE AN ACCESS dialog box, enter the activation code displayed on the mobile.

    • Click on Activate.
  3. Mobile: Select ACTIVATE.
    → The learner is logged on My Learning App.
Main grey.png If the activation code has not been entered correctly on the desktop access management area, a message is displayed on the mobile to invite the learner to reload the browser page and enter his code again on the desktop. 

Activation using the QR code

Follow these steps on the mobile and desktop:
  1. Mobile: select Scan QR Code.
  2. Desktop: In the learner interface, click on the learner picture (top right corner) and follow the link Management of applications.
    The QR code is provided in the CREATE AN ACCESS dialog box.

  3. Mobile: Scan the QR code displayed.
    → The learner is logged on My Learning App.

iOS

Download the App through the App Store
Once the App is installed, the learner can activate his profile using one of the 2 following methods:
  • Organization name: Enter your organization name and use your company credentials.
  • Activation code: On the desktop, enter the activation code displayed on the mobile.

Training courses visualization

All the learner’s Blendedx courses and mobile Learning Channels are available in the application.

The learner can view the courses online or offline (after download).

The home page shows 2 horizontal sliders:

  • Recently viewed: Contains the list of recently viewed courses sorted by last launch date.
  • Mandatory: Contains the list of courses marked as 'mandatory'.
  • To discover: Contains the list of courses not started yet sorted by registration date.

The learner accesses the training course download settings by tapping Ic menu.png and going to download.

Icons definition:
  • Ic upl in progress.png: Upload in progress.

Once downloaded, the resources can be viewed offline by tapping the Ic download cloud.png icon in the bottom of the path picture:

To delete the downloaded resources, touch and hold a resource and select the tick box.

Search is available for trainings and resources:

  • Various dynamic filters can be selected.
  • User sees if more results are found in another language.

All downloaded resources appear, sorted by training course.

Notifications Ic notification.png

Displays the list of notifications received.

Taping a notification related to a download opens the content.

To mark all the notifications as read, tap the Ic done all.png icon.

Application settings

To manage the settings, or log out, tap Ic settings.png.

The settings page gives access to:

  • Manage download preferences and delete in one click all downloaded resources.
  • Manage notifications preferences.
    Notifications settings:
    • Enable notifications: Enable/disable all followong notifications from a single button.
    • Download complete: Enable/disable the notifications related to downloads completed.
    • Notifications based on my activity: Enable/disable the notifications related to the learner activity on the platform (see #Home page title, organization name, send notifications).
  • Reminder creation.
    Specify a title, date and time.
    A reminder is displayed on the phone on specified date and time. The reminder does not appear in the notifications.
  • Log out of the application.


Main grey.png If several downloads are launched while not having the iPhone charging through USB and the screen is locked (manually or automatically) then iOS will notice these 2 factors and will optimize the battery by stopping the ongoing downloads.
